The Malnosso don't appear to have regular time-travel technology, or else they'd just travel back in time and change things to their own will - or forwards in time if they wanted to travel to a time where the knowledge they seek with these experiments exist!

Everything else depends on whether the Malnosso personally kidnap us from our worlds, or, as they claim, they merely pick us up when we arrive here as a result of some other force!
