[ No answer... he makes to check the Med Center today, to see if she isn't held up there ]

You didn't get kidnapped or nothin', right?

[ By now, he probably has missed her at school. He also hasn't really seen her around. And she still isn't answering. He may or may not have tried to remember what her apartment was to knock on it ]

I still dunno where you are... Uh. Hope you find me.

[Pilouette can't help but feel bad. Really bad. It's been over a week since he left this message and she can only imagine how worried he might be. Even if she couldn't do anything about it...well.]

Um...Hey. I-It's Pilouette. I, um, just got back, so...just letting you know.

[Voice, June 8th]

Pil-- Pilouette?! You're back?!

[ It's probably like... a few hours later ]

Y-Yeah. Um, I just got back earlier today.

[There's a brief pause as she tries to figure out what to say to him. From the messages she's gotten, she figures that most people weren't even aware she had died. She wonders if it's obvious now or if anyone even needs to know. She exhales.]

Um...S-Sorry for worrying you.

Why're you apologizing to me?! We've been worried about you and friends just do that!

[She can't help but flinch a bit. Part of her thinks that maybe...just maybe if she had been a little more careful or done something different, she wouldn't have died and her friends wouldn't have had to wonder where she was or if she was alright.]

I-I know. I just...I just hate to make people worry about me, you know?

If we're worried about you then we're worried about you! That probably just means you were in trouble and so we ought'a have...!

[ Does that even make sense hoops ]

I...I know!

[She hadn't meant to raise her voice like that, but she knows how serious he is about making sure she's okay. After all, Precis asked him to. What is she even supposed to say? When she replies, she speaks quietly and lets out shaky breath.]

...No one could have done anything.

Y-...yeah?

[ No could have done anything. Ugh. Ugh ]

Yeah. It was totally crazy out there. It all just kind of...happened.

[Now, if she could just remember exactly what it was that no one could have stopped. Her memory is still fuzzy.]

You... I'm sorry.

[ That's so lame. This is lame. He should have known what to say here... ]

You don't have anything to be sorry for. Really.

[She's not sure what to say either and it feels awful.]

You-- ... So are you okay now?

Yeah, I think I'm okay. I'm just getting my head together, I guess.

Messed with...?

[Kidnapped and experimented on, she assumes. She was gone for a while, so she can't guarantee that they didn't do some experimenting before John managed to bring her back to life (however he does that), but...]

No. Or, well, I don't remember anything between the draft and waking up in the forest, so...I don't think so.

You sure? Like... you know who your dad is, s'right?

[Oh. That was Precis' penalty.... Is that what he meant?]

No. My memory is still a little jumbled up, but I don't think I forgot anything else. ...I do feel a little off, though, but I can't really figure out why.

Well... well if you work out why, you oughta tell me, so I can help you out with it.

I will. I mean, I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. I'll let you know when I get it sorted out.

[Maybe. After all, maybe it won't be anything big. ...Or maybe it won't be anything that can be helped.]

I'm serious though! So.... so you better!

[ That's selfish? Who knows. He still feels like an ass about the whole Precis fiasco, and now he has it thrown in his face with her friend ]

O-okay, okay! I will! I totally promise!

[Now she feels a little guilty for even considering hiding it from him...whatever "it" turns out to be. She knows he worries about her and that he's just trying to help.]

[ That was definitely too harsh. But now he can't manage it into a backpedal. ]
